Craft Day with Carleigh

Carleigh and I went to A.C. Moore to check out some cool craft ideas for our weddings. Before I left I told myself that I wasn't going to buy anything, and that I was just going to look and take note of prices. Of course I ended up buying a couple of things that I will be using for my big day. I won't tell you exactly what I bought but I will show you a couple of pictures that are going to inspire my wedding day.

hmm...what could these limes be used for?!

Mail Time!

So, my roommates and I have lost our mail key and we probably haven't checked our mail in about a month. Decided to go up to the copper beech office to see if I could borrow a key and sure enough I could. Let me jut tell you how much mail we had!

The first thing I was really excited about was getting a wedding magazine for free! I have bought a couple of wedding magazines since I have been engaged but they really add up in price... It was nice to get one for free :)
Happy bride to be with her free wedding magazine. Sorry for the lack of makeup and the hairdo :)

The second thing I was really excited about to find in my mailbox was a wonderful engagement gift from my wonderful sister! It was a photo book of me and Mike's favorite pictures. It was really sweet and I think we may use it for some aspect of our wedding :)

It was super fun gift. I I loved it.

I took these pictures on my new webcam so they are not very good quality :)

Update!

I haven't been updating very much on the wedding plans/our lives, so I apologize.

My last post was that we got a wedding ceremony/reception place, and a date. June 18th, 2011 which is 11 months away!! Since the first month of our engagement I have been taking it easy. Mike moved up to Virginia Beach about three weeks ago. He has started working at Jersey Mikes where he will hopefully be owning his own franchise around February! He is living with a family in Chesapeake, Virgina as of right now. I went to visit a couple of times and I LOVE IT! I have such a peace when I was up there, and it felt like it was already home to me. I am ready to move up, but I still have a while haha! It has been hard not having him around, but I feel we both have already grown so much and are getting prepared for the most important day of our lives!

First trip to Virgina together!

On to the wedding plans:

I think we found a caterer, but I am not going to tell because it is a surprise :) Let me just tell you, it reflects us as a couple and its super fun!

We are finalizing our photographer, her name is Julia Wade, check her out
http://www.julia-wade.com/index2.php we have not booked yet, but getting pretty darn close. It is awesome to feel that it is only 2 months into our engagement and we have three of the biggest venues ALMOST booked!

Once we get our photographer we will get our engagement photos, which I will post up on the blog. We will then send out save the dates around October/November. We are still not sure what we are doing for those!

Everything has come really easy for us, at times the cost of everything is a little overwhelming, but weddings are expensive. We are so thankful for this day and all of our friends and families who support us! I know that God has blessed us so much, and we only have him to thank for us being together, the support that we have, and the easiness of planning a wedding!
Take Care

Love,
Heather & Michael

Wedding Date!

We have gone back and forth between a couple different dates. We thought we had one set in stone but it turns out we had to switch it. Officially, our wedding date is June 18th, 2011! We had to confirm with the place we want our ceremony and reception at and they told us it was available! We will be having our ceremony outside at the Rand-Bryan House courtyard and the reception will follow it inside the house!! We are so excited for this day, I can't believe it is still more than a year away. I am sure that we will keep busy though.

Love,
H & M

Engaged!

Michael proposed on May 15th at Windy Gap Young Life Camp. It was beautiful and exactly the way I wanted it. Windy Gap is the place where we first started liking each other two years ago. We both saw how much we both loved the Lord. Windy Gap is also the place where I first met Jesus when I was a Sophomore in high school. It is an extremely important place in my life and I am so thankful that now it is even more important.

Our first two weeks of being engaged has been really fun! We have already started planning because Michael is leaving for Virginia Beach on June 25th so we are trying to get as much planning done now.

We have looked at different Venues, but I think we finally found one. It is not officially booked but it may be in the near future.

Yesterday, I went bridal dress shopping and I found my dress!! ah! So exciting :) It is beautiful and I can't wait to be a beautiful bride on my big day.

Thank you everyone for your love and support. We will try and update our blog frequently with new happenings dealing with our wedding.

Love,
Heather & Michael
